            <p id="isPasted">Senior Academic Administrator</p><p>In this 18-month fixed term role, you would be a senior member of the University of Greater Manchester&#39;s 20-strong Academic Support Service, contributing to the effective management and organisation of administrative functions to support academic programmes. &nbsp;Team members in this role provide leadership and motivation in collaboration with academic and professional colleagues to ensure that an excellent quality of provision of administrative services is achieved and maintained at all times. The post holder will coordinate a complex range of activities to maximise resource utilisation and added value.</p><p>This particular vacancy will be focused on administrative involvement with student Special Circumstances, Fitness to Practice and administration of Academic Malpractice meetings. The successful applicant will be able to work flexibly to come alongside other Senior Academic Administrator colleagues and support as needed in peak periods across schools.</p><p>All post holders are required to take ownership of their own performance and the relationships they build with students, partners, the public and colleagues, demonstrating a positive attitude and commitment to their work.             <p>We&#39;re looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our Academic Office Team part time on Thursdays and Fridays, with an additional half day of your choice, contributing effectively to the operation of administrative functions in support of academic programmes, and in liaison with a wide range of internal and external agencies. You&#39;ll actively collaborate with academic and professional colleagues to ensure that an excellent quality of provision of administrative services is achieved and maintained at all times. &nbsp; &nbsp;</p><p>Within a team of 3 Academic Administration Assistants, this role involves shared monitoring of several key frontline inboxes for the Academic Support Services Team (total of 20 members), resolving queries directly where possible, and forwarding messaged on others where necessary. In addition to general administration queries, this role involves the sorting and logging of student Special Circumstances requests, with use of excel and Microsoft Sharepoint. Applicants will also need to be willing to be trained on the university finance system to log purchase orders that come into the Purchasing inbox.&nbsp;</p><p>Other regular duties include post, stationery monitoring, answering the phone and transcript printing.
