If you are interested in working for the number one University in Greater Manchester for student satisfaction, come and join us!

We are a friendly, forward thinking and ambitious Research and Doctoral College (RDC) team looking for someone who is ready to join us and develop their career. The Research and Doctoral College is responsible for the University's Post-graduate and Research Programmes and Development.

Successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of an effective Professional Support Service for applicants, students and University staff.  They will proactively support the Research & Doctoral College in developing systems and processes ensuring that the University is compliant with its own Policies and Procedures and those of agencies such as Office for Students (OfS) and UKVI.

You will bring IT expertise, passion and a can-do attitude, and support the RDC team in delivering an efficient, effective and customer-focused service across the University.

The role also involves delivering an efficient, fair, consistent and transparent support to prospective and enrolled doctoral students, maximising application to enrolment, conversion and timely completion. The successful individual will also provide post-enrolment student support.

You will have excellent interpersonal skills, together with a positive, professional manner and have the ability to deal tactfully and confidently with people at all levels.  Given the nature of the role, excellent attention to detail is essential, as is the ability to prioritise work effectively and to work to deadlines on your own initiative.   You will have a breadth of experience across Microsoft Office applications.

Please note that this role is campus based.

For more information, please contact Gail Clarry, RDC Operations Manager via G.Clarry@bolton.ac.uk for an informal discussion.

Applicants are advised to apply by uploading a copy of their most recent CV and a one- page cover letter, demonstrating their suitability for the role and how they meet the criteria set out in the Job Description & Person Specification.

Successful applicants will be required to prove their right to work in the UK prior to the commencement of their employment.

Whilst the University of Greater Manchester is a licensed sponsor, under UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) not all roles are eligible for visa sponsorship.

This position may not meet the criteria for a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS).
