Operations Manager – Off Campus Division

This key role sits within the Off Campus Division, the operational backbone supporting UGM's vital collaborative provision partnerships, hosting over 18,500 students across the globe.
Our mission is critical: to safeguard academic standards, protect public funds, and ensure a high-quality, equitable student experience for all partner provision. As the Operations Manager, you will be instrumental in creating and driving our operational practices.
The Role:
Reporting to the Head of the Off Campus Division, you will be the main operational and administrative leader for the Division, coordinating the structures that protect quality and compliance. Your principal duties will be highly impactful and include:
- Strategic Resource Management: Leading the management of Divisional budgets, financial claims, and coordinating purchasing. You will also support workforce planning, including staff records and workload allocation for academic staff.
- Operational Oversight: Serving as the main day-to-day point of contact for all central professional services (HR, Finance, IS&T, Admissions, etc.), ensuring consistency of practice and operational delivery.
- Governance and Reporting: Preparing detailed data reports and developing data systems to assist in planning. You will produce and develop reports for boards and other relevant groups to keep them appraised on progress and compliance.
- Partnership Liaison: Coordinating and liaising with internal and external partners and stakeholders to ensure objectives are delivered and student needs are met effectively.
- Team Leadership: Line managing a support team and driving performance through PR, coaching, and training.
About You
We are seeking an experienced leader with:
- Credible operational and administrative skills, able to work effectively to tight deadlines and competing demands.
- Experience of managing budgets in line with corporate and statutory requirements.
- Knowledge and experience of HR and/or Finance processes and practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- A commitment to continuous improvement and creative ways of working.
